In order to attract young people to science, technology and innovation, summer activities started at INCAS and UBFF teams. Students became familiar with the research activity and were presented measuring instruments, techniques of data collection and ways of data processing.
As an example, in July 2021 a young International Olympic at the Chemistry Olympiad showed his interest to take part in the IceSafari project activities. He was introduced to the air pollution measuring instrument, the Picarro G4302 gas analyser, which measures concentrations of methane, ethane and water vapor. In addition, a series of measurements were performed with a low-cost station developed by Master students within the INCAS institute. In the end, the data taken from the measurements were processed by participants.
