All over the world, there has been a considerable gender gap in STEM fields over the years. Even while women’s participation in higher education has increased tremendously, they remain underrepresented in scientific disciplines. UN General Assembly established 11 February as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science to ensure that women and girls have equal opportunities to participate in and contribute to the advancement of science.
