In April 2024 took place in Vienna, Austria, the already traditional European Geoscience Union General Assembly EGU2024. This is the largest Geoscience Conference that brings together scientists of all nations. Always, participating at this conference we can stay update with the latest and most interesting new research topics. The presentations of our two young researchers Bianca Mihalache and Alex Vlad were held on site, in Vienna.
Their presentations were attended with interest by many people from first to the last day of the Conference. The highest interest came from early career scientists, so the dialogue went from the research topic to the funding mechanism of the project and particular aspects of their PhD studies. This made us happy, because helped more to promote the project and to show the young researcher community a way to learn, to start own career.
The poster presentation of the PhD student Alex Vlad, young researcher at INCAS, and PhD student in the Doctoral School of Faculty of Physics at University of Bucharest, on fog occurrence over the Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport using METAR data was followed with high interest by the scientific community.
The oral short presentation of the PhD student Bianca Mihalache attracted many persons at her PICO screen where she presented the results obtained through composite analyses about the air pollution the South-Eastern Romania.
The coordinates of their works are below and their abstracts can be found on the EGU24 website https://www.egu24.eu/
